We are a feminist non-profit community organisation providing an integrated, culturally appropriate, primary health care service with a particular focus on preventative health care to women in most need.
We have a holistic and social view of health that encompasses all aspects of women’s lives. We recognize women’s rights, as health consumers, to be treated with respect and dignity in an environment which provides for privacy, informed consent, confidentiality and safety.
Things you should know about this centre:
- It is a women-only safe space
- It is a breast-feeding friendly space
- There is often a waiting list to see the women’s health nurse and the part-time doctor. We do have a good referral process and can make appropriate referrals.
