Judy relationships are central to her life and work, and her role as mum, step-mum, wife, daughter, sister, aunty, cousin, friend, mentor, colleague, and a professional educator are what ground and inspire her. She has a lifetime of experience in education, governance expertise and an unwavering vision for a better future for women to the organisation.
Judy has worked for the past 35 years in the education and care of young children and their families in the early childhood education sector, and in the broader child and family service sector. Her professional roles have focused on identifying, realising, and supporting opportunities that extend and enrich the lives of young children plus those who love and care for them.
Judy is a strong feminist and community leader. She has an unwavering commitment to social justice and building social capital within our community. Judy’s focus is on supporting women to have control over their lives so they can make the most appropriate and relevant decisions for themselves, and able to flourish and lead full and optimistic lives. She has been on NGO Boards and management committees all her professional life.
Judy has been a member of the Council of Women since joining in 2014, and as elected Chairwoman from 2016. She has led the Centre with expertise, integrity, vision, and humour.
